About Mindy

I love to get to know people of all ages and their stories. I believe we all have a story to tell and counseling is an avenue for you to tell your story, be heard and supported through the changes you seek. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Synergy Play Therapy (SPT). I find these two evidenced based therapies work well to address concerns across the life span.

Intern

Amber Bass

I am a Master’s-level counseling intern in my third year of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Wyoming. My journey into the field of mental health began with a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Liberty University, and has been shaped by a range of hands-on experiences in both clinical and school-based settings.

Prior to beginning my internship, I worked for two years as a Behavioral Health Technician and Intervention Specialist on a psychiatric inpatient floor, where I supported individuals through acute mental health crises. I also served as a school-based mental health counselor at a high school for one academic year, working closely with adolescents navigating a wide variety of challenges.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered: emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth. I enjoy integrating both talk therapy and synergetic play therapy techniques to meet clients where they are.
